Key Features
✅ Scenario-Based Training – 37+ real-world scenarios covering trailer mismatches, load refusals, late deliveries, customer requests, breakdowns, and fuel stop management.
✅ Progressive Learning System – Gradual difficulty increase ensured mastery of fundamental skills before advancing.
✅ Communication Reinforcement – Users drafted and sent professional emails to shift leaders, improving written documentation.
✅ Self-Paced Learning – Designed to be completed in 3-5 hours, allowing flexibility while ensuring skill development.
✅ Post-Training Assessment – Users submitted sample customer emails to demonstrate their ability to apply knowledge in real-world scenarios.
Technology & Development
The application was developed independently, with no additional company costs, and had reached Version 0.7 before its cancellation.
📅 Project Roadmap (Before Shutdown):
Versions 0.2 - 0.9 – Alpha testing with a small group under NDA, collecting feedback.
Version 1.0 – Full-scale release with finalized database and expanded scenario library.
Versions 1.1 - 1.9 – System integrations, performance improvements, and refinements.
Version 2.0 (Future Development) – Game engine redesign to simulate multiple company systems with dynamic, procedurally generated scenarios.
IT & Security Considerations
During development, IT security concerns arose, ultimately leading to the project's shutdown before deployment.
🔒 Primary Security Concerns Raised by Employer:
User Data Management – Ensuring restricted access to training logs and reports.
Authentication Risks – Need for advanced security measures beyond the initial Supabase authentication model.
AS400 System Access – Integration posed concerns about potential data leaks or vulnerabilities.
Conclusion
The NextOps App successfully reimagined AS400 training, combining interactive learning, real-time analytics, and a modern UI. Despite the project being discontinued due to security concerns, it proved that training platforms can evolve beyond outdated methods.
